Airband Community Internet has published its latest financial results for the year ended 2023, revealing the altnet ISP had rapid growth and strong investment to significantly extend its reach.
Virgin Media O2’s Q4 results reveal that it delivered 833,100 additional serviceable premises on its fibre network during the 2023 financial year.
Its Q3 update stated it has reached just over 500,000 premises, suggesting its Q4 build was around 330,000 (250,800 in Q3).
The company added +31,300 fixed customer, +63,800 broadband, and +46,600 mobile contracts during the year, supported by positive net additions for each in Q4.
Its 2023 Transaction Adjusted Revenue increased 5.2% year-on-year to £10,923.2 million, (0.2) % excluding the year-on-year impact of nexfibre construction.
Lutz Schüler, CEO of Virgin Media O2, said: “Operationally, we invested another £2bn in our networks and services, with 2023 being the fastest year of fibre rollout as our fibre footprint reached over four million premises.
“Looking ahead, the 2024 outlook will be impacted by incremental investment in key initiatives to drive future growth, including increased marketing across our rapidly expanding fixed footprint, new commercial initiatives and wider digital and IT efficiency programmes.”
