Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

Wessex Internet has begun network construction in Martin and Whitsbury, to kick-start its government-funded contract across the New Forest.
The altnet was awarded a £14m government contract in April, to connect 10,500 homes and businesses across the national park to gigabit-capable full fibre broadband over the next three years.
Its construction in Martin will act as one of the springboards into the New Forest. Work has also started in Whitsbury, a village near Fordingbridge. These communities will begin being connected in 2024.
Hector Gibson Fleming, Wessex Internet CEO, said: “Over the coming months we will continue our close collaboration with the community as we bring the benefits of world-class connectivity to residents and businesses across the New Forest.”
