Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

The uptake of Zzoom’s fibre services in Sandhurst and Crowthorne has exceeded 20%, seven months after finishing the build of the new network there.
Matthew Hare, Chief Executive commented: “The construction of our brilliant fast new network in Sandhurst and Crowthorne was a watershed moment for local homes and businesses. The old copper network in the area used by their old providers really held them back."
According to O’Hare, this uptake was spurred by a local referral programme which gave financial incentives to those recommending services to friends and neighbours.
