York-based operator UK Fibre Networks has rebranded Fastr Broadband as it continues to roll out its network to 8,000 homes and businesses in its native city centre.
CityFibre has begun a nationwide bus tour to show off the benefits of a full fibre broadband connection.
The tour kicks off in Portsmouth this month, before heading to Reading, Leeds, Coventry, and Peterborough, reaching its final stop in Aberdeen in June.
The bus will allow visitors to play immersive games and challenges which show full fibre connectivity in action. Prizes are available for those who play the ‘Fibre Dash Game’, which compares fibre to copper technology.
Dan Ramsay, CMO at CityFibre, said: “Residents should be looking at fibre for better-quality broadband experience, from gaming to working from home, but they could save hundreds of pounds in the process.”
