Vorboss has joined Ofcom’s ‘Women in Tech’ pledge and aims to be the first UK network operator to have gender parity in its civil engineering workforce, with this target set for 2027.
CityFibre is now integrating Deepomatic’s Visual Automation Technology throughout its end-to-end network operations. This will aid engineers by automating field-based quality-assurance capabilities at scale.
Engineers will use the app-based interface to upload images of the network build, upgrade or maintenance-related work prior to closing a job. The images will then analysed in real time to either validate the work as complete or highlight issues that need addressing before leaving the site.
CityFibre states that the tie up will give service provider partners confidence that when a broadband service is ordered, the end-to-end network is verified as fully operational.
Nationwide rollout is now underway, with the technology already used across CityFibre’s Midland and Southern regions after a successful trial.
David Tomalin, Group CTO at CityFibre, said: “This will ensure quality standards are consistently met, reducing human error while empowering our people, and minimising repeat engineer visits.”
