A recent report from thinkbroadband has given a unique insight and the latest statistics on UK broadband rollout and revealed that FTTP is now available to over 75% of households across the UK, with Openreach leading the way with more than half of residents coverage – an increase in full fibre of 6% since last year.

The UK saw its broadband usage surge to record highs in 2024 as more people relied on the need for speed in internet connectivity, a new report from Openreach reveals.
The milestone comes as Openreach said its network is now connecting 78,000 new premises every week.
Last year, it extended its reach by over 4 million premises, bringing the total to 17 million who now have access - half of all UK homes and businesses.
More than 4.3 million are in rural areas, and last year alone, orders increased by 26 per cent – around 68,000 every week, through more than 300 service providers selling fibre using Openreach’s infrastructure.
Clive Selley, CEO, Openreach, said: “We are delivering our ambition of reaching 25 million homes and business by the end of 2026, and now our sights are set on reaching 30 million premises by the end of 2030.”
