Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

ITS Technology Group has invested £1m into a new venture in Greenwich (Digital Greenwich Connect) to deliver 21km of full-fibre, gigabit-capable network infrastructure.
The company will be incorporated with an additional £1m funding from DG Cities, an innovation company set up and owned by Greenwich Council.
An inclusive approach has been used to ensure that social housing and community centres are included in the strategy and further expansion is planned to connect more businesses, schools, residents and students.
Daren Baythorpe, CEO of ITS said: “This demonstrates the power of collaboration through the public and private sector. It’s about local government and technology companies working together, deploying the most secure and resilient network in Greater London.
“Partnerships like these can really accelerate access to critical internet and gigabit capable speeds for both businesses and residents, but also give value back to communities.”
Trevor Dorling, MD of DG Cities, added: “Today is the culmination of many years' work to ensure that Greenwich has the digital infrastructure that is essential to a modern economy and supports the delivery of the next generation of public services.”
