Openreach is continuing to rollout full fibre across the UK, and more than 315,000 homes and businesses in Leeds can now access faster internet, with over 80% of properties connected to the network.

Openreach is helping residents and businesses on the Hebridean islands of Tiree and Iona mark a digital milestone, with the first ultrafast broadband connections now live.
For years, connectivity on the islands has been a challenge due to their location and dispersed populations.
Now, in an upgrade by Openreach for the Scottish government’s Reaching 100% (R100) programme, the first residents on Tiree can access fast and reliable broadband, while everyone on Iona is able to upgrade.
The Tiree rollout is continuing, with engineers needing to complete work before rare corncrakes and other bird species return to breed in the Spring.
Richard Lochhead, Scottish Government Minister for Business, said: “This is a milestone for Tiree and Iona and an example of what the Scottish Government’s investment in broadband is delivering across the country, opening up new opportunities for people and businesses.”
