Quickline is helping residents in east Yorkshire connect to full fibre broadband, as Project Gigabit rollout continues – with more than 1,350 in Gilberdyke now able to access high speed internet.

Quickline is continuing to roll out full fibre across Yorkshire and has now connected the Calderdale district, as progress makes pace to boost the network in the region.
Among the communities in the west Yorkshire area able to connect to the network include Southowram, Clifton and Holywell Green, and almost 3,000 homes and businesses across these three villages can now place an order for Quickline’s full fibre service.
Hundreds more addresses around Calderdale are set to receive connectivity as Quickline continues with its rollout of Project Gigabit, and the Calderdale district forms part of a major government contract awarded to the altnet provider last year, covering west Yorkshire and the York area with homes and businesses benefitting through the subsidised rollout and the associated commercial rollout by the company.
Julian Chalk, Head of Network Engagement and Enablement at Quickline said: “We’re making great progress in the delivery of full fibre broadband in West Yorkshire and are connecting many of the very small hamlets and villages across the area where people have been struggling for too long with poor broadband.
“Our full fibre network is now delivering fast, gigabit-capable broadband to these communities where homes and businesses really need it in order to prosper in an increasingly digital age.”
