Quickline is extending its Project Gigabit rollout, bringing full fibre broadband to an additional 6,000 rural homes and businesses across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, an expansion backed by an extra £11m in government funding.

Openreach is making full fibre available to more local Suffolk communities, with 210,000 homes and businesses now connected to broadband technology thanks to the company’s nationwide rollout.
The ultrafast broadband reaches around 55% of properties across the county, giving Suffolk residents access to reliable fibre that connects multiple devices at gigabit-capable speeds.
Kieran Wines, Openreach’s Regional Director in the south east, said: “We believe that this new network will give businesses an edge and provide residents with future-proof connectivity.”
Openreach’s full fibre network now connects more than 17 million properties, and the company plans to extend this to 25 million homes and businesses by the end of 2026.
