Olilo has placed its first consumer FTTP orders on AllPoints Fibre Networks’ (APFN) aquila platform, in a decision reflecting a commitment to delivering high-performance broadband, and marking a significant step in its rollout of multi-gigabit connectivity across the UK.

Community Fibre has now connected more than 400,000 premises to its London FTTP network and has seen its customer base increase by a third in the past year, reaching a network penetration rate of 30% serving over 1.4m users across the capital.

WightFibre is marking a significant milestone after connecting its 25,000th customer, an achievement that shows the company's continued success as its rollout now reaches 72,000 residents.

Netomnia has opened up its national footprint with the launch of its B2B wholesale platform that is now serviceable to 2.56m premises — including over 100,000 business locations and growing monthly — and plans a fully funded build to reach 5m premises by 2027.

nexfibre has published its latest quarterly build update (Q1 2025), which shows its 10GBps FTTP/XGS-PON broadband network now covers 2.2m UK premises, with scaled back coverage target for 2025 to 2.5m premises passed, reducing future build plans for the next year.

Openreach is to stop selling legacy analogue copper-based phone/broadband services in a further 163 locations, covering 1.6m UK premises, to encourage people to upgrade to new digital services over an ultrafast full fibre connection.

Quickline is extending its Project Gigabit rollout, bringing full fibre broadband to an additional 6,000 rural homes and businesses across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, an expansion backed by an extra £11m in government funding.

Openreach is making full fibre available to more local Suffolk communities, with 210,000 homes and businesses now connected to broadband technology thanks to the company’s nationwide rollout.
