A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Over 8,500 premises in March now have access to fibre as CityFibre completes its £5m primary build across the town.
Construction began in January last year and CityFibre has since laid almost 27km of dense full fibre infrastructure across the town.
With the primary-build now completed, CityFibre will continue to densify and connect properties in multi-dwelling buildings and on private roads.
Rebecca Stephens, CityFibre’s Regional Partnership Director, said: “Today, March is one of the best connected places in the UK, and the local community is beginning to tap into the benefits that are to come as full fibre offers economic opportunities for the town.”
Steve Barclay, MP for North East Cambridgeshire, said: “As we move into the digital age, access to good broadband is essential and drives wider investment, opportunities and economic benefit.”
Services in Marsh are available from Vodafone, TalkTalk, Zen, Giganet and many more. All homes passed by the network can schedule a full fibre installation within five working days of placing an order.
