Connexin has completed the first stage of its Project Gigabit contract for the provision of hyperfast broadband to more than 34,000 rural homes in Nottinghamshire and West Lincolnshire.
Through collaboration with BDUK, RunFibre will facilitate the expansion of internet connectivity in Falfield, south Gloucestershire.
The total value of the investment is £250k, of which Runfibre will contribute an upfront investment to build the network.
Once the connections are complete, Runfibre will claim individual voucher amounts through the Gigabit Voucher Scheme.
Working in close cooperation with South Gloucestershire Council's Connecting South Glos team and local delivery leads for Project Gigabit, it has been ensured that funding is optimally allocated for connecting the hardest-to-reach properties in the area.
CEO Dave Swanston said: "The support of these collaborators has been invaluable in realising our shared vision of ensuring that every property in our region gains access to reliable high-speed internet services.
“We anticipate expanding our services to more rural locations in the near future, thereby bridging the digital gap and fostering a more digitally inclusive society."
