brsk is expanding its West Midlands build into South Birmingham, in an expansion that will take its regional total of premises passed to 385,000.

CityFibre is investing £42m in the digital infrastructure of South Tyneside and will work with GCU UK to rollout a regional fibre network over the next two years.

Openreach has begun work to build a new network for Grimsby and Healing, with the build expected to reach most premises over the next 12-18 months. More than 7,500 homes and businesses can already access the new technology.

Over 16,000 homes and businesses in Barry can now access Netomnia’s fibre network as the altnet continues its £8.1m rollout in the region. 

CityFibre’s £80m fibre rollout in Leicester continues apace as work has been completed in the North of the city.

Digital Infrastructure is expanding its network in South Yorkshire with work set to begin in Thurnscoe, Barnburgh, Bolton upon Dearne, Goldthorpe, and Harlington this month.

Tetney, Kirton, and Barnetby le Wold are the latest communities to be connected to Quickline’s fibre broadband network.

Openreach has passed a milestone in its Welsh fibre rollout, as more than 700,000 premises have been passed through its £210m investment.

Hull has begun connecting premises in Hull, with its build addressing more than 20,000 homes and businesses in the City.

CityFibre has been awarded three new contracts under the government’s Project Gigabit programme, totalling £318m in new funding.
