Brsk to double Calderdale fibre footprint

Brsk aims to double its existing network coverage in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, to bring fibre to a total of 47,000 premises.

Through its first build phase, the altnet currently addresses 23,000 regional homes and businesses across Brighouse, Elland, Hipperholme, Bailiff Bridge, Hove Edge, Woodhouse, Rastrick, Lower Edge, Greetland, Stainland, Sowood and Holywell Green.

Regional Head, Darryl Niewenhuizen, said: “The meticulous planning, dedication, and hard work of our team has enabled us to surpass expectations and complete the first phase of our rollout way ahead of schedule

“The unwavering support and collaborative spirit of Local Authorities have been crucial and together we have laid the foundation for a digitally connected future.”

Brsk’s second build phase will cover Siddal, Skircoat Green, Salterhebble, Outlane, Copley, Bank Top, Lee Mount, Boothtown, Pellon, Ovenden, Illingworth, Holmfield and Northowram.

To date, Brsk has passed more than 500,000 homes nationally, which includes 126,000 homes across West Yorkshire.
