Grain is bringing faster broadband to Burton-on-Trent, in a major upgrade that will transform internet speeds for residents who will get dedicated full fibre connection.

More than 8,000 premises across Lincolnshire can now access speeds of at least 100Mbps following the completion of the BDUK-backed build by Quickline Communications.
The contract was awarded in September 2020 to provide 7,969 premises with access to broadband. As of November 2023, 8,100 premises in very hard-to-reach locations had been passed.
The programme has been delivered using Quickline’s hybrid network, combining full fibre and fixed wireless broadband.
Quickline demonstrated its commitment to best build practices by signing-up to the Lincolnshire Street Works Charter, which limits disruption to the country’s road users.
Sean Royce, Quickline CEO, said: “Poor broadband connectivity is a real issue in parts of Lincolnshire, particularly in the deeply rural communities.
“Working in collaboration with Lincolnshire County Council and engaging with communities are key drivers to help us deliver a faster and more connected tomorrow.”
