York-based operator UK Fibre Networks has rebranded Fastr Broadband as it continues to roll out its network to 8,000 homes and businesses in its native city centre.
FullFibre has refurbished a fire engine as a way of building awareness of fibre services and engaging the local communities around rollout areas.
The fibre engine made its debut appearance at Shrewsbury Food and Drink Festival, wrapped to match the pink brand colours and was kitted out with educational resources for festivalgoers.
Marketing Manager Dannii Sumpter said: “The vehicle will be deployed across the entire Midlands region to encourage residents to reach out to ISP partners to receive a connection.”
BeFibre, one of FullFibre’s partners, was also present during the inaugural appearance.
