Over 98% of Gloucestershire homes and businesses can now access a superfast broadband connection, through one of the first types of UK projects of its kind that started in 2012 to increase superfast coverage in the county.

MS3 Networks has extended its long-term partnership with local ISP Open Fibre which can now offer connectivity across the altnet’s entire footprint.
In the next four years, MS3 expects to connect 500,000 UK premises. The network’s initial expansion in Hull began in January 2022 and was coupled with a launch into Lincolnshire at the end of 2022.
Ben Chetham, MD of Open Fibre, said: “With the cost-of-living crisis affecting our local community, it’s important that broadband remains accessible to everyone. Internet access isn’t just a nicety, it’s an essential utility.”
Sam Hales, Sales and Marketing Director at MS3 Networks, added: “Partnering with Open Fibre directly satisfies the needs and desires of the communities we serve by bringing greater choice.”
