A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre’s Newcastle network is now live for over 50,000 residents and business owners, with the build moving into new areas.
Since work began in 2019, builds have been completed in the Kenton, Arthur’s Hill, West Denton, Scotswood, Benwell Grange, Walker, Walkergate, Holystone, St Anthony’s and Cowgate areas.
CityFibre’s rollout will now focus on the Fenham, Benton, South Heaton, Chapel House, Lemington, Chapel Park and Kingston Park areas throughout 2024.

In Newcastle, CityFibre’s network is available via Vodafone, TalkTalk, Giganet, IDNet and Zen.
