A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
FullFibre is adding 26 communities to its Midlands East and West regions rollout, using 750,000 meters of fibre to connect nearly 80,000 further premises.
CEO Oliver Helm said: “Better connectivity in more rural locations will make a real difference to residents and businesses at a time when access to the internet has never been more important.”
The new communities are Church Stretton and Much Wenlock in the Midlands West region and Southam, Kibworth, Fleckney, Ashbourne, Lutterworth, Market Bosworth, Thrapston, Stoney Stanton, Sapcote,
Southwell, Barrow upon Soar, Moira, Markfield, Woodford Halse, Byfield, Barton-under-Needwood, Alrewas, Asfordby, Bottesford, Kingsbury, Kineton, New and Old Arley, and Shenstone in the Midlands East.
FullFibre’s extension plan continues with the goal of reaching over 500,000 premises by 2025.
