A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Lit Fibre has begun building its fibre network in Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Redditch, Melksham, Harpenden, and Sutton Coldfield, bringing the total number of homes in towns under deployment to over 200,000.
Midsomer Norton and Redditch will see services go live in late June, with the rest to follow.
CEO Tom Williams said: “These communities have had a lack of choice for too long and will be able to break away from the incumbent providers.”
