A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Quickline has revealed its rollout roadmap for 2023, with a target to add 55,000 rural homes and businesses.
Throughout the year Quickline will work in 67 communities across North Yorkshire and a further 29 in Lincolnshire.
Lee Allison, COO at Quickline, said: “Rural communities have been crying out for fast, reliable broadband for far too long. Our mission is to provide that and to close the digital divide between urban and rural areas.”
The altnet currently passed 300,000 premises with its fixed wireless broadband network. During 2022, more than 10,000 homes and businesses in over 20 communities received access to Quickline’s full fibre broadband.
Chris Akrill, Head of FTTP Operations at Quickline, added: “Our fibre broadband is transforming the internet experience for customers living in even the most remote of areas.”
