MP Ben Bradley was invited to visit engineers as they start building Openreach’s fibre network across Mansfield.

CityFibre’s £30m fibre rollout in Preston is entering its next phase of construction, with homes in Frenchwood and Fishwick going live.

CityFibre and build partner O’Connor Utilities recently welcomed Fabian Hamilton, Member of Parliament for Leeds north east, for a tour of its Pudsey Fibre Exchange (FEx) to give him a closer look at the city-wide project.

Following £600,000 of investment from Openreach, more than 2,100 homes and businesses in Lossiemouth can now access fibre services. This represents 60 per cent of local premises.

Jurassic Fibre’s efforts to attract a more diverse workforce have catalysed a 209% rise in its female staff count in the last two years, an increase from 45 to 139 since 2020.

Openreach has blown 3km of glass fibre across the Forth Road Bridge to ensure 85% of South Queensferry premises can access fibre services.

CityFibre’s rollout in York is entering new areas of the city including Clifton Moor, Fulford, parts of Huntington and the City Centre. Construction is being delivered by MakeHappen Group.

CityFibre’s £23m investment into Crawley’s digital infrastructure could bring economic benefits including £385m in productivity and innovation gains, £85m from a widened workforce, and up to £288m in increased housing value.  

More than 16,500 homes and businesses in Blyth can access fibre following a £4.9m investment from Openreach.

CityFibre’s £17m fibre rollout is underway in Loughborough with build partner Granemore kicking off construction in Storer and Garendon.
